Class Description

To honor our Great British roots, we'll prep, bake, and enjoy this simple yet delicious dish together around the table. During this class, we will teach the techniques for preparing a buttery-soft steak Cornish pasty, diced steak and vegetables wrapped in a crisp, flaky pastry. You'll make two Cornish pasties yourself, one to enjoy that evening, and one to take home and impress your loved ones.

What To Expect

We believe mealtimes should be simple, stress free and enjoyable. In our classes, you'll prep and cook your dinner with others in a small group in a fun, relaxed, hands-on environment led by Through The Sea's co-founder Anne Marie Jackson.

  • Classes are 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours

  • You will prep, bake and eat together with other students

  • Our hands-on classes are limited to 6-8 students

  • You will be standing, prepping, and cooking the meal for half of the class

  • You will set the table, and then share great food and discussion for the other half of class

  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes

  • All required equipment will be provided, unless specified in your confirmation email

  • If you have a favorite chopping knife, you’re welcome to bring it

  • You will enjoy a delicious two-course meal together with the other students

  • You'll take home a whole Cornish pasty, to showoff to your loved ones

Through The Sea recipes are developed using everyday cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please let us know before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made.
